James Hackett Obituary
AGE: 63 • Brick, formerly of Boca Raton, FL
James Francis Hackett, 63, of Brick, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Born in Bayonne, NJ; he grew up at the Jersey Shore, and graduated St. Rose High School, Belmar. Mr. Hackett went on to attend St. Francis College in Loretta, PA before moving to Florida, where he worked as a Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service, in Lighthouse Point.
James was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Frank and Sarah Gallagher Hackett. Surviving are his loving sisters, Karen McGhee and husband Gary, of Howley, PA and Jerilyn Hellenbrecht, of Brick; his dear brother, Michael Hackett and wife Barbara of Brick; 7 nieces and nephews, and 9 great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012, from 4:00 to 8:00PM at O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00PM on Friday, November 9, 2012 at Epiphany Roman Catholic Church, Thiele Road, Brick. Private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to the charity of your choice, would be appreciated.
