AGE: 54 • Toms River
James "Jim" F. Sweeney, 54, of Toms River, NJ died on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at his home. He was born in So. Orange, NJ and lived there until moving to Toms River, NJ in 1975. Jim graduated High School South in 1979 and is part of the alumni. He was a member of the Irish American Club and on the Ocean County St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee. Jim was his daughter's #1 fan when they played soccer or volleyball.
Jim is survived by his parents John and Patricia Sweeney of Lavallette, NJ; his wife Leigh Sweeney of Toms River, NJ; his daughters Jennifer, Jaclynn and Jaime Sweeney, all of Toms River, NJ and his siblings John Sweeney of Newark, NJ, Kate Sweeney of N. Brunswick, NJ, Joseph Sweeney and his wife Robin of Kendall Park, NJ, Eileen Sweeney of Lakewood, NJ, Robert Sweeney and his wife Janice of Spring Lake, NJ, Maureen Sweeney of Portsmouth, RI and Barbara Struckoff of Jesup, GA.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 145 St. Catherine Blvd. Toms River, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 9:30am at St. Justin the Martyr RC Church Toms River, NJ. Committal will be private.
