James Young Obituary

James Tyler Young

AGE: 18 • Timmonsville, SC

James Tyler Young, 18, of Timmonsville, SC, passed away in a motorcycle accident on Friday, February 19, 2016. Tyler was born in New Brunswick, NJ and is the first born son of James George Young and Suzanne Nordman Young of Hunterdon County, NJ. Tyler attended high school at Hunterdon Central Regional in Flemington, NJ; Camden Military Academy in Camden, SC and Maranatha Christian School in Florence, SC. He was an active part of the skate club, wrestling teams and weight training.

Tyler had many interests and hobbies, but was most passionate about skateboarding, hockey, BMX biking, go karting, motocross, surfing and skim boarding. A lover of the outdoors, Tyler was also involved with IDPA competitive pistol shooting with his father, hunting and hiking. Besides activities that afforded Tyler the opportunity to be active, in motion and headed for adventure he also enjoyed tinkering, mechanics, drawing and designing future cars. Making people smile was Tyler's true intent in everything he did.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving sister Rachael Helen Young and adoring brother James Reese Young, both from Hunterdon County NJ. His grandparents Rudolf Ernst Nordman and Patricia Ann Nordman of Mt Olive, NJ. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and second cousins and close family friends. He was preceded in death by his cherished Nana, Helen Brooks Young of Somerville, NJ.

A memorial service will be held at United Reform Church of Somerville, Somerville NJ on Saturday, March 5, 2016 beginning at 11 am. In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to House of Hope of the Pee Dee, Florence SC, an organization assisting the homeless locally, a cause that Tyler cared about deeply. I miss you everyday. As i sit here in English i ponder to myself, what if i could see you. Death does not frighten me now, because i know when i reach God's gate, i will be able to hug you again. People tell me they know my pain but in all reality they don't. Every persons pain is so different then our own. I love ya man, can't wait for the day I see you and Nana again.

I am so very sorry and truly saddened by Tyler's passing. I have always had such a soft spot in my heart for him and his big, bright smile. Tyler & Kasey had a special friendship as young children, and he always made us smile. It's a gift to light up a room & I hope your memories will help to keep that light shining within you. Much love & peace to you all. XO Kelley

I went to Camden Military Academy with Tyler, he was one of the funniest people there and I can't believe he's gone.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences. A loved one lost so suddenly and unexpectedly brings much grief to the heart. Treasure the special times spent with James. Draw strength from the love of family and friends. May God's Word and his loyal love comfort you and help you through this very difficult time.

Tyler was always so kind to Caelyn and John at our family reunions. They looked forward to seeing him on the drive up and talked non stop about the fun they had with him on our drives home. He left an imprint on their hearts that will last a lifetime. He was a special soul. Our love to all of you.
