Jerry Gaskill Obituary
AGE: 77 • Toms River
Jerry Budd Gaskill, age 77, of Toms River died on Sunday, January 22, 2017. Born in Toms River, he was a lifelong resident.
Mr. Gaskill was a Class A auto mechanic for over thirty years. He served in the US Army from 1962-1964. He was a volunteer fireman at Manchester volunteer fire company. He was a life member of AMVETS, and enjoyed motorcycles and antique cars, and was an avid collector.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; his children, Lorrie Cunniff and her husband Kell of Whiting, Jerry Budd Gaskill Jr. and his wife Andrea of Manchester, and Allison O'Neill and her husband Michael of Toms River; and his grandchildren, Jerry Budd Gaskill III, Lindsay Gaskill, and Grace O'Neill.
Services were private under the direction of Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River.

Uncle Jerry was quite a guy. I remember him trying to teach us how to slot car race in the basement and allowing me to lower on a string his model of the lunar module he made when Apollo 11 landed on the moon. I remember the last time I saw him when we all got together when Gramma passed. He always had that Gaskill look about him. Just like Grampa and his brother Sam.

My Father and I spent a lot of time together working on a huge Barbie Doll House.
He made sure everything was to scale. He cut the siding, shingles, windows and even went to my brothers house to measure the pull down attic stairs. He handmade the hardware. We spent so many days working on this wonderful project. We had lunch together and got to know each other better. I will always love him. Camping, flea markets, fireworks, lake, boardwalk, and county fair are some of the things he liked to do.
