JOHN C. "JACK" AZZARETTI
AGE: 77 BRICK
John C. "Jack" Azzaretti, 77, of Brick, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ Sunday, Sept. 7. Mr. Azzaretti was born in Kingston, N.Y. to the late Andrew and Catherine Azzaretti. A graduate of Asbury Park High School in 1949, he served in the Navy during the Korean War, and was employed with the City of Asbury Park as a fireman from 1956 to 1983, retiring as a captain.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Jane T. Azzaretti; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and James L. Jones Jr. of Pennsylvania; two sons and their wives, Andrew and Donna Azzaretti, and John and Marcia Azzaretti, both of Brick; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He also leaves all of his brothers and sisters in Christ at Grace Tabernacle, Lake Como.
Visiting will be from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at O'Brien Funeral Home, Burnt Tavern Road at Highway 70, Brick, with Rev. Randy Smith officiating. Interment and military honors will follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Tabernacle Building Fund, 2014 Main St., Lake Como, NJ 07719.
