John "Jim" J. Henderson, age 76, of Ship Bottom died on Friday August 21st, 2015 at his home. Born in Camden and Formerly of Barnegat where he was a volunteer with the Barnegat Fire Company and First Aid Squad, he was most recently of Ship Bottom. Jim had served in the US Army during the 60's, he was a licensed Electrician who had worked for Perk's Electric for 40 years before starting his own business Henderson Electric which he ran for almost a decade.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years Nancy (nee Alden), children Ken and his wife Terri of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Wayne and his wife Melissa of Manahawkin, Greg and his wife Paulina of Aberdeen and Kathy of Ship Bottom, grandchildren Steven and Forrest of Ft. Lauderdale, Ryan who is serving in the US Air Force, Hunter who is serving in the US Navy and Alixandra of Downingtown, PA, along with his sister Linda Norcross and her husband Ray.

Arrangements are private and under the direction of Bugbee-Riggs Funeral Home, Ship Bottom. Jim's family has asked that any donations in his name be made to either Ship Bottom Volunteer Fire Company PO Box 3 Ship Bottom, NJ 08008 or the Beach Haven First Aid Squad PO Box 1291 Beach Haven, NJ 08008.
