John Hildin Obituary

John J. Hildin

Tinton Falls - John J. Hildin, 57, died suddenly on Oct. 10, 2018. He was born in Queens, NY, son of the late Walter and Rita Mae Hildin. John grew up in Lincroft and graduated from Christian Brothers Academy. He received his bachelor's degree from Trenton State College and a Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Monmouth University.

John was employed by Curtiss Wright Corp. of Newtown, PA, where he was Director of Network Systems. He had previously worked for Bell Labs, Holmdel.

John was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed playing his bass guitar with family and friends; being a member of the Corporate Advisory Council, and mentoring engineering students at The College of New Jersey. He enjoyed organizing and participating in brewery crawls, and taking on projects around the house. John had a can-do attitude, was always ready with a joke and a smile, and loved to make people laugh.

John will be forever remembered by his loving wife and best friend of 30 years, Kathleen, and their daughters Kelsey and Karley, who were the most important part of his life; and his brother Larry, Florida. John will be deeply missed by his mother and father-in-law Antoinette and Robert McAlonie and their entire family, with whom they shared many celebrations and gatherings. John will be greatly missed by his close friends and all who knew him.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Leo the Great Church, Lincroft on Nov. 16 at 10:15am.

Philadelphia - A Great Day

John - You were a blessing to everyone you touched and that is why your loss is so unbearably painful. You spent your life designing and building the perfect life everything you did had a purpose, and nothing was more important to you than family and friends. That was evident every day in the way you treated people and cherished the one's close to you. You were kind, gentle, respectful, determined and competitive as anyone. What you engineered here is enormous. It will have everlasting impact and will never be forgotten. Kelsey and Karley will accomplish everything you ever dreamed of for them and they will thank you every day for the compass you provided.
Whether it's Pete & Elda's, McSorley's, Disney World, Asbury Park, Lake George, around the grill or just chatting around a table the music will not sound the same, the beer not as tasty, the meal not as delicious and the room not as bright. The ride will simply not be the same without you.
You taught all of us, that personal relationships and shared experiences with loved ones are the most important things in life. You valued every moment and relished every challenge.
Our anguish must, and eventually will, turn to strength and honor as you would want it. Our collective broken hearts will mend with time and band together with Kathy, to live, love, laugh and cherish your memory. We will feed off your energy and it will give us all hope to carry on with you always in our hearts.
Countless times, we would hug and say how much we loved each other meant it every time. Said we would always protect each other and be there for each other we will.
Thank you for being the best friend anyone could hope to have. We will always treasure our times together and continue to live with your undying spirit lighting the way.
Rest in Peace, dear friend.
Love, Deb & Gary

Kathy, Kelsey, and Karley, Kelly and I were profoundly saddened and heartbroken to learn of John's sudden passing. We hope that you can find some grace and solace at this extremely difficult time knowing that we are thinking of you all. John was a key part of our family and will be forever remembered for his warmth, quick wit, perpetual smile. I will also especially miss playing music with him. Love you all, Brian and Kelly.
