John A. Wahler, Jr.

AGE: 85 • South Amboy

John A. Wahler, Jr., 85, of South Amboy died on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Venetian Care and Rehabilitation Center, South Amboy. Born in South Amboy, he lived there all his life. He was the owner of Edison Glass and J & A Wahler Residential & Commercial Rentals. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, serving aboard the USS Timmerman. He was a member of Sacred Heart R.C. Church, South Amboy, the Tin Can Sailors and the American Legion Post 211, Sayreville. He loved fishing and hunting, traveling to Aruba, and was the proud owner a classic 1913 Model T Ford.

Son of the late John A. and Mary Gorczynski Wahler, Sr. he is also predeceased by his sisters Marie Walsh and Catherine Spann, his brother Frank Wahler and his son-in-law Paul Alberici. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ann Samuel Wahler; his daughters Diane Dusko of Sayreville and Joanne Alberici of Parlin; his brother and sister-in-law Kenneth and Peggy Wahler of South Carolina; his sisters Elizabeth Collow of South Amboy, Patricia Uveges of Perth Amboy and Anne Peterson of South Amboy; his grandchildren, Melanie Fennell, Jennifer Dusko, and Michael, Jason and Jesse Fitzsimmons; his great-grandchildren Tyler, Kyle, Kaitlyn and Emily and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 1, 2015 at 8:15am from The Gundrum Service "Home For Funerals" 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy, followed by a 9am Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Interment will be at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Sayreville. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1 to 3pm and 6 to 8pm.

I knew John Wahler when my dad was alive and know both gone. My Stepmom Joanne i am very close too so much i miss her and hope to reunite. God bless you never forget your eyes to me when he talks my favorite memory of John Wahler. i miss you so much love you
