DR. JOHN P. KEFFER, JR.
AGE: 77 BRIELLE
Dr. John P. Keffer, Jr., 77, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010. Born and raised in Trenton, Dr. Keffer moved to the Shore in 1973. He was educated at Villanova University and graduated from University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 1957. Following a tour of duty in the United States Navy, he practiced dentistry in Hamilton Township until his retirement in 2001.
Dr. Keffer was predeceased by his parents, John and Elizabeth Keffer, and his sister, Rose Marie Leadem. Dr. Keffer is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years, Susan; three daughters and sons-in-law, Regina and Thomas Phillips, Elizabeth and Howard Abrams, and Lara and Jon Arguelles; four sons and daughters-in-law, John and Lydia Keffer, Joseph and Alice Keffer, Michael and Christine Keffer, and David and Anne Keffer; and his siblings, Elizabeth Wetzel, Rita Fitzpatrick, Louise Biemer, and Joseph Keffer. Dr. Keffer also leaves behind 12 grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and he will be greatly missed by all.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of St. Martha, 3800 Herbertsville Road, Point Pleasant, on Monday, October 25, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. There will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Poor Clare Monastery, 150 White Pine Road, Columbus, NJ, 09022. Arrangements are by O'Brien Funeral Home, Wall, NJ. Dr Keffer cared for my family-all 5 of us.He was a wonderful dentist and friend. We are sorry to read of his passing. The Gerald Welsh Family.

Dr.Keffer cared for my family in our youth - all six of us and our parents. He was a wonderful dentist and friend. I am sorry to hear of his passing.
