AGE: 66 • Toms River
John R. Lott, 66, of Toms River, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2015. Born in Newark and raised in Brick, John owned and operated a construction company for 40 years while also working for the Asbury Park Press and Monmouth University. He was an avid fisherman and cyclist and enjoyed being on the water as well as spending time with his children and beloved granddaughter.
John is survived by his son, Jack Lott and daughter, Tara Rider, her husband, Joe, their daughter, Reese, his brother, Robert Lott and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, James and sister, Kathleen.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 7th from 6 to 9 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Rd, Whiting, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 8th at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ. Jack, Tara and family, I am saddened by the news of your loss. It is very a very difficult time for you all, I am sure. My heart goes out to you all. I am so sad that we did not get to know John, until just a few short years ago. He will be missed by us here on earth, but he is at peace and among his many family members, who loved him dearly. Most of all his brother Jimmy and his Dad. God bless you all. I only found out about John and wanted to extend my most heartfelt and sincere condolences.
