JOHN OBERTLIK
AGE: 99 HOWELL
John Obertlik, age 99, of Howell, died on Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at home. Mr. Obertlik was born in Guttenburg, NJ, and had lived in Cliffside Park before settling in Howell 25 years ago. He was the owner and operator of "Service Motor's" Auto Body Shop in North Bergen, NJ. Mr. Obertlik was an Exempt Fireman with the Guttenburg Fire Company.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 70 years, Anna, in 2003 and a daughter, Joan, in 1983. He is survived by one son and his wife, John "Mike" Michael and Sheryl Obertlik of Farmingdale; one daughter, Barbara Obertlik of Howell; three grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer, and Jamie; and one sister, Helen Dayton of Grand Island, NY.
