AGE: 67 • Wall
John Denis Sentner, Sr. 67, of Wall, NJ died Thursday, November 22, 2012 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Jersey City, NJ John lived in Montclair, NJ before moving to Wall 40 years ago. John worked as a salesman with Toshiba in Bayonne. He was a parishioner of St. Rose Church, Belmar, NJ. John was a member of the Manasquan Elks BPOE Lodge 2534. He was a past state president of the NJ Elks Association. John established the Miracle Plunge in Support of Elks Camp Moore and Cooley's Anemia Foundation.
Predeceased by his parents Harry A. and Anita Sentner. John is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years Judith Sentner, his 4 children; John Sentner Jr. of Belmar, NJ, Michael Sentner and his wife Donna of Tinton Falls, NJ, Tracey Sentner of Wall and Amy Sentner of Wall, a brother Robert Sentner, 6 sisters; Marianne Tibbals and her husband Douglas, Jayne McGrath, Elizabeth Sentner, Margaret Sentner, Alice Krause and her husband Peter, Anita Faherty and her husband Peter and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visiting will be Monday, from 2-4 &7-9 pm at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Tuesday, 10:30 AM at St. Catharine's Church, 215 Essex Ave., Spring Lake. Burial will follow in St. Anne's Cemetery, Wall.
