Joseph Brucato

AGE: 88 • Brick

Joseph Brucato, age 88 of Brick, NJ died on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Manchester Manor Rehabilitation Center in Manchester, NJ. He was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ before moving to Brick 46 years ago. He was a Veteran of World War II, proudly serving his country in the US Navy. He was employed as a Traffic Manager for many years with the M. Goladatz Company in New York City, retiring in 1979. He was a parishioner of St. Dominic's R.C. Church in Brick. He was a member of The Brick Township Volunteer First Aid Squad for many years. Joseph was predeceased by his sisters Alice Lyons of Jersey City and Lena Spangenberg of Monmouth County.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Dorothy (Perry) Brucato; three sons, Donald Brucato at home; James Brucato and his wife Marie of Berlin, NJ, and Michael Brucato and his wife Jackie of Richmond, VA; his grandchildren, Michael Brucato, who is serving honorably in the United States Navy, David Brucato at home, and Candice Richards of Richmond, VA; his great-grandchildren, Noah and Mia Richards, and Loghan Brucato; and his brother Charles Brucato and his wife Patricia of Lakewood.

Friends may call on Tuesday, November 20th, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Highway 88, Brick. Funeral Services will be held at 5:00 pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Interment is private. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made in his honor to The Wounded Warrior Project.
