Joseph Muzzicato

AGE: 86 • Toms River

Joseph Muzzicato, 86, of Toms River, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016. Joseph worked for the Toms River Postal Office as a mail carrier for 40 years, retiring in 1992. Joseph was a proud veteran having served in the US Army during the Korean War. Born in Matawan, he grew up in Nutley and lived in Belleville before moving to Toms River 48 years ago. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Helen Cocco Muzzicato in 2008 and his daughter Victoria Muzzicato in 2015.

Surviving are his two sons, Joseph F. Muzzicato, Anthony Muzzicato and his wife Kesha; 7 grandchildren, Gisel, Alexandra, Lester, Addison, Anthony Joseph, Caleb and Mekai; and sister Nancy Pugliese.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30 Friday at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, Toms River. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org or by mail to PO Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516, would be appreciated.
