Joseph Reamer Obituary
JOSEPH B. REAMER
AGE: 75 BELFORD
Joseph B. Reamer, 75, of Belford, died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009, at Riverview Extended Care, Red Bank. He was born in Keyport and was raised in Keansburg before moving to Belford. Joseph worked as a tractor trailer driver for 33 years at Jersey Coast Freight Lines, out of Neptune. He was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Parish, New Monmouth, and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Ellen Reamer; his two sons, Joseph G. Reamer of Belford, and Randall and his wife Colleen Reamer of Keansburg; his three grandchildren, Elena, Kaleigh, and Victoria, all of Keansburg; and several extended family members.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Caroline Reamer as well as by his sister, Theresa MacIssac.
Visiting will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23 at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24 at St. Mary's Chapel, 26 Leonardville Road, New Monmouth. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Dear Mrs Reamer,
I was sad to hear that Mr. Reamer has passed on. I always enjoyed chatting with him when he came to Belford to do the banking. He was always cheerful and he had a way of finding the bright side of any situation. I was glad to know him. Please accept my sincere condolences at this difficult time.
