Joseph Scibetta Obituary
AGE: 83 • Pt. Pleasant Beach
Joseph J. Scibetta, age 83 of Point Pleasant Beach died on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Born in Jersey City, he had lived the past 15 years in Point Pleasant. Joseph was a supervisor at PSE&G in Jersey City for 41 years before retiring in 1985 and coached baseball for the College Little League in Jersey City.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 61 years, Angelina Serra Scibetta; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Geraldine Scibetta of Middletown; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Emil D'Elia of Ocean; Betty Ann and Michael Taglarini of Carteret; 4 sisters, Lillian Guliano of Ramsey; Mary McDow of Washington State; Carmela Sverapa of Oceanport and Betty Brady of Washington State; 5 grandchildren, Lynette and Michael D'Elia, Amanda and Brittany Scibetta and Angela Taglarini; a great-grandchild, Jaden Taglarini and his two good friends, Rollo Price and Marie Miele.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 11 from 4 - 8 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., (corner of Third Ave.), Long Branch. Funeral Tuesday, 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a 10:30 am Mass at St. Jerome Church, West Long Branch. Entombment will be at Holy Cross Mausoleum in North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to the American Lung Association, 1600 Route 22 East, Union, NJ 07083The family invites you to leave a letter of condolence at www.damianofuneralhome.com.
