Joyce Salerno Obituary
Toms River
Joyce E. Salerno, passed peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, surrounded by her beloved family. She was the devoted daughter of the late Mildred and Fred Goglia. Joyce was born in Jersey City and married Henry L. Salerno nearly 40 years ago. In 2007, Joyce returned to work as a receptionist for Holisticare Hospice, officially retiring in November of 2012 with the intention of spending time with her husband, daughters and grandchildren.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Henry; her eldest daughter, Cherylyn Murphy, her husband Shawn and their two children, Makenna Elizabeth and Jack Henry; her younger daughter, Amanda Salerno; her brother, Kenneth Goglia and his wife Antoinette, in addition to several other sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Joyce was very much loved and adored by her family and friends. There will forever be a void in the lives of all those she touched. Joyce's essence will live on through her children and grandchildren, as well as all those who loved her and called her a friend.
A memorial service will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013 at Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Road, Toms River. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Big Steps for Little Feet Foundation, 300 Second Ave., Long Branch, NJ 07740, with a memo for TEAM MAK & JACK. www.silvertonmemorial.com

To my beloved best friend.....You may be gone from this earth, but you will live in my heart forever. I am blessed and honored to have the memories of so many years of great times and all the laughs we shared together. I will love and miss until we meet again Jerse.
Henry; what a wonderful husband you were to Joyce. She loved you dearly. To Cher and Amanda; your mother loved you more than words can express.
