Born in Jersey City, NJ, he lived in Bayonne, NJ before moving to Toms River 25 years ago.
Ralph was a United States Army Vietnam War Veteran.
Sensi Grandmaster Ralph Passero was the president of the AOKA (American Okinawan Karate Association) in Bayonne,. He studied and taught Isshinryu karate for over 50 years.
Ralph was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Dorothy Passero.
He is survived by his wife Lisa (nee Kately), a daughter Jillian Manno of Toms River, NJ, a brother Andrew Passero-Arizon, a sister Dorothy Beebe of Toms River, three grandchildren Angelina, Isabella and Gabriella.and son in law Roberto Sales.
A memorial gathering will be offered Sunday, March 8, 2026 2:00pm – 5:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 995 Fischer Blvd., Toms River. A funeral service will be offered at 4:00pm.

Earlier today
I knew Ralph Passaro almost before he knew himself growing up in Bayonne. He was friends with Miquel Diaz brother of my best man Carlos Diaz.
He was always respectful to me also due to my association with Don Nagle. And my association with Gary Alexander - I was proud of his success in martial arts.
