Julio Tomas Noguera (91), The Villages, FL., passed away peacefully at home on March 30, 2017. Born in Naguabo, Puerto Rico, Julio was married 59 years to the former Luscinda (Lucy) Sellés Noguera. Graduating with his bachelor degree, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Puerto Rico, Julio then received his medical degree from the University of Maryland. Afterwards in his post-graduate studies, he specialized in Otolaryngology at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Medicine. He was a member of the Phi Sigma Alpha Fraternity. Stationed in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he served as a Captain in the Army Medical Corp. He and Lucy raised their family in Interlaken, New Jersey. He was the former Director of Otolaryngology at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey. He was honored by the Senate of New Jersey for his meritorious career in medicine. He retired to The Villages in 1998.Left to honor Julio and remember his love are his three surviving daughters: Luscinda (William) Lane, Kinnelon, NJ, Yolanda Noguera, The Villages, FL, and Carmen (Joseph) Oesterling, Ann Arbor, MI. He leaves behind his legacy of four grandchildren: William Lane, Gregory Lane, Christopher Oesterling, and Jennifer Oesterling. He was loved and lived an accomplished life; a brilliant, generous man who did so much good for so many. He was the perfect father. His family misses him deeply. Family and friends are welcomed at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 22, with a wake service at 2 p.m. at Beyers Funeral Chapel, Lady Lake, FL.
