Kenneth Hopf Obituary
AGE: 73 • Bradley Beach
Kenneth W. Hopf, 73, of Bradley Beach, passed away Tues., Nov. 26, 2013 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. He worked for the National Guard Department of Defense for 35 years. Kenneth was a referee for NJ Youth Hockey League for many years.
He was predeceased by his parents, and brother, John in 2013. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Hopf of Bradley Beach; daughter, Nicole Beetel and husband Ken of Jackson; son, Christopher Hopf and wife Evi of Bradley Beach; sister, Audrey of Glenmoore, PA; brother, Alan of Orlando, FL; four grandchildren, Nicholas, Katelyn, Emily, Brynn, his grandchildren were everything to him; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 10am Sat., Nov. 30, 2013 at Francioni, Taylor & Lopez Funeral Home, 1200 10th and Atkins Ave., Neptune; with a 11am Mass to follow at Church of the Ascension, Bradley Beach. In lieu of flowers please make donations in his name to The Lustgarten Foundation, 1111 Stewart Ave., Bethpage, NY 11714.

Dear Nicole, Steve and I are heartbroken that you lost your Dad last week. Since we spend so much time with you on a weekly basis, we know how difficult this illness had affected you and your family. Your Dad put up some fight because of how much he loved your Mom and his children. Please remember that all of you did everything you could for him and he is not suffering anymore. I am so sorry for your loss and will miss Ken and his dedication to the Atlantic District Officiating Program. Ken was a friend, mentor and passionate official and instructor of officials who dedicated countless hours of his personal time to help grow the game of hockey and officiating. Always warm and kind and someone I will always cherish to have known. May he rest in peace and continue to watch over all of his family and friends.
