Kevin Miller Obituary
AGE: 60 •
Kevin Patrick Miller passed away peacefully at the age of 60 surrounded by his family on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Mustang Creek Estates in Frisco, TX.
Kevin is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Miller (nee O'Brien) of Middletown, New Jersey; three children, Jordan Maconachy and her husband Ryan of Frisco, Texas, Britt'ny Miller of Dallas, Texas and Daniel Miller of Austin, Texas; two granddaughters, Quinlin and Ardyn Maconachy; as well as siblings, Jack Miller of Las Vegas, Nevada, Chardele Miller of Las Vegas, Nevada and Nadine Geromanos of Middletown, New Jersey. He is preceded in death by his father John Joseph Miller and mother Charlotte Adele Miller of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Kevin was born on September 26, 1954 in New York City, New York. He attended Cooks College at Rutgers and worked for International Flavor and Fragrances, Inc. as a Senior Vice President Flavor Chemist and Technical Global Manager of Oral and Pharmaceutical Care for over forty years.
Kevin was a loving, generous, and witty husband, father, Pop-Pop, and friend. He loved to travel with his family, most especially on their annual Caribbean vacations where he was known to enjoy a Corona or two with his feet in the sand. When he wasn't lounging in the sun he could be found tinkering with his many cars and tools in his beloved garage. He had an amazing sense of humor and an infectious smile. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A memorial gathering will he held at John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 5 - 9pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Chapel in Middletown, New Jersey on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 10: 30am. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Kevin's life. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to send donations to Lewy Body Dementia Association at www.lbda.org. The family would like to thank all of the staff at WeCare Adult Care in Middletown, New Jersey, and the staff at both Mustang Creek Estates and Envoy Hospice in Frisco, Texas for their care and dedication to Kevin.

Kevin showed me around R&D at IFF on my first day back in 1978. We worked together until his retirement a couple years back. He was great guy and I'll miss him a great deal. My condolences to Barbara and the rest of his family.

Grew up next door to the Millers and went through St. Mary's and Mater Dei with his brother Jack. Kevin and I had to be tutored in math one year together... we had some great talks walking to and from the tutor...he was a great kid to grow up with....lost track over the years but will miss knowing he is not in the world anymore but have comfort in knowing he is in heaven...rest in peach Kevin...his family is in my prayers...John Horoski

I just heard the very sad news of Kevin's passing and wanted to leave my condolences. I left IFF a decade ago but still have many happy memories of sitting in Kevin's office, chewing the fat, putting the world to rights and talking about life. He was a remarkable scientist and an outstandingly fine human being. He will not be forgotten.
