Dear Hank & family, Sonny & family,
We send you our sincerest condolences on the passing of your beloved Lillian. It was so nice to spend a weekend in Florida with you remembering growing up on South 1st Street,Lil baking cookies to send to Hank in the military,going shopping for her wedding gown with her Mom and my Mom (Stella), and recalling the happy and fun times spent with family and friends.
We pray the Lord will tenderly hold Lillian in His arms and comfort you with His peace.
No words can ever say enough to ease your sorrow, but please know that you are always in our thoughts, hearts and prayers.

My memory of Aunt Lillian is her smile on her face when we were at the casino last summer playing wheel of fortune at Motor City Casino in downtown Detroit. Even though we didnt win big we still had a great time together.
Also growing up and spending many nights at her house with my cousin Diane I will always have her close to my heart!
With Love always, Donna Okuszka Miltner
Also to my Uncle Hank, Diane, Scott, Steve, Dawn as well as all of their spouses, grandkids, my cousins and those who loved Aunt Lillian I wish you the deepest sympathy!

The entire Okuszka family from Michigan sends there deepest condolences.. We send prayers out to all of our cousins our Uncle Hank and to the rest that loved Aunt Lillian..
Our mom Aunt Jean recalled the great times at the beach in highlands as well as the Christmas in July Santa parade, eating crabs at Mom & Dads (Adam & Lottie's) We had so much fun with numerous parties that Hank and Lil hosted at their home on Gibson Drive, the screen house, fireworks at Leo Arcadia Park.. For us living in New York at the time we had always looked so forward to escaping the city and going to Jersey for fun. The picnics at Holmdel Park and the swim club.. Talk about event planners they did it all at their house. We had so many great summers together at Lukans farms, ring that bell, its supper time....
My Mom, Aunt Jean recalled a special fun moment of which to me sounds odd but she shares "that when Lillian and I were young, I can't remember I think we were both pregnant but we had to get out of church during mass because we had forgotten the kielbasa which was sitting in the trunk in the heat and we were afraid it would spoil. So we faked that we needed fresh air due to being pregnant and we needed to go, I mean I really need to go, I can't wait we have to go... Well we got out of their in a hurry and laughed so hard that our sides hurt!
Lillian I love you like a sister and THANK YOU last year for your part in the wonderful surprise for mine and Bob's 50th wedding anniversary, you are truly my sister and I will miss you until we meet again, Love Jean :(

I met Lillian through her sister-in-law, Marilyn Toole. We soon became friends when we did real estate closings in Hazlet, where I could "see" her smile on the phone! When we met up we always greeted each other with "Happy Birthday" as we shared the same day...July 22. RIP my friend.

I remember Aunt Lillian taking us to the beach when we were kids. I remember those sandwiches she would make and how sometimes it seemed like maybe some sand would get in between, my fault however that memory stays with me today. In the 1972 Olympics Aunt Lillian took care of me and my brother Kevin as my mom had surgery. The swim club that my cousins belonged to was awesome, her breaking up fights between my two cousins (siblings). Her understanding of life is what impressed me about Aunt Lillian the most! God rest her soul and may she enjoy her everlasting life with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I was so fortunate to have worked with Lillian for 15 years in Hazlet Township. During that time she always had a kind word and a lovely smile for everyone. How lucky I was to have known her!

Lillian;
You had a wonderful way you and Hank would banter back and forth that I knew every time I visited you both, how much you loved each other.

Aunt Lil, You were fun, loving person. I'll never forget the time I slept over and you took Dawn and I to the drive-in to see Heaven Can Wait. You made burnt popcorn for us and said it was fine to eat, even though it was black! We couldn't even eat one kernel! None the less we still had fun!!! You will be missed!
