I will always remember Dr. Barth as my physician who always told it like it was in his kind and gentle manner. He always had a smile and passed them on to his patients. I will remember him as my boss for a short time many years ago. We had many laughs together with Fran. I will so miss you very much Dr. "B" and I will be singing your praises for years to come. God Bless you, a special gentle man.

Dr. Barth was the most wonderful! He delivered both of my children, and me! He had a manner like no other! My Mom was his patient, and I too! He was such a remarkable man. What a loss in the baby community and for all women. He was the most respected doctor in Freehold forever! My heart is with his family, friends and me, his patient since 17, he took such care of me. So grateful!

It saddens me to know that Dr. Barth has passed. He was my GYN for over 30 years and was not only a great doctor but a compasionate person. I would always see him at the dog park with his pups and they would play together my dog. It was nice to be able to talk to Dr. Barth away from the office. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.

February 16, 2013

I was a patient of Dr. Barth for years. I found him to be a warm and personable gentleman. When I received the note from his practice today...I felt I lost a friend, confident and fellow funny story teller.

After every yearly visit to Dr. Barth, I would say "You won't retire on me, right?" He would smile and assure me he and Fran were "here to stay". I do believe as a team they really did "stay for us" -- no where on earth will I find a Doctor more gentle, caring and kind -- so in tune to what was happening in "my life" and always offering suggestions that would bring a smile to my face! I'm sure God said, "Welcome home, faithful servant, it's time to REST". Too young to leave us, your patients, but definitely too young to leave your family. My heart goes out to the Barths and I pray you take comfort in knowing your husband and father is now being cared for by the greatest Physician. My sympathy to you all.

My deepest sympathies to the Barth family, friends, co workers & fellow patients of Dr. Barth. I read all of the comments in this lovely tribute to Dr. Barth. It caused me to cry & it caused me to laugh. We patients knew our doctor well & I enjoyed hearing of experiences similar to mine.

I was blessed to have known Dr. Barth & to be a recipient of his tremendous clinical care. His experience & personal warmth provided me great comfort. I felt I knew his family because he shared such loving, funny & proud stories of them often. And what visit would be complete without his bellowing "Fran!" into the house phone for his long-time nurse & friend to come support him. Together they were the best & I'm thankful for their support of me over the years.

Dr. Barth passed almost two years to the day of my beloved father. Those two gentlemen had many similar traits & left behind a void in their communities. They were admired & loved in ways words cannot describe. I only hope I can replicate the same positive impact as them. I have said a prayer to my father to welcome Louis to heaven & join him in a round of golf. I am blessed to have two wonderful angels to pray to in the future. For now, my prayer is for Dr. Barth to rest in peace. I thank you for all you gave me.

In memory of a wonderful man, gentleman, physician, and healer who has earned his wings....."Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush.
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die."
RIP.....

I was a patient of Dr Barth for only a short period of time and was very dismayed to learn of his passing from a letter I received today from his staff. In addition to being my GYN physician, Dr Barth was a very good patient listener . I went to Dr Barth once on a personal matter unrelated to any GYN issues and I will never forget how at ease he made me feel and how easy it was to talk to him. His advise and concern for me could ONLY come from the heart of a very noble and compassionate man. I will always remember Dr Barth as being a very patient, kind, gentle and a competent physician and healer. I will miss him..He will NOT be easy to replace.. My deepest condolences to his wife and family..

Dear Barth Family, I also want to give my late condolences to your family. Your husband, dad, father, grandfather and doctor to me was a fun, caring and I could tell a very loving man. Every time I had to go for my exam, Dr. Barth would always make me smile. He had such a wonderful way about him. He would always open up with such kind and gentle words and make me feel relaxed. He would always ask about my two sons and how they were doing. He cared and had a wonderful way of making me feel welcomed. I will miss him because I knew when I asked him a question about my health or a referral for a doctor that I needed that I would get an honest answer and a respected answer. I am so sorry about your loss. He will truly be missed by me also..God Bless your family..I hope he is doing God's work with the angels now..Amen!! Kathy Deegan..

During the delivery of my son almost 35 years ago, Dr. Barth quieted my nerves by telling me a joke and making me laugh!! During my annual check-ups, I often reminded and credited him for my son's sense of humor. I'm sure he worked so long because so many of us women didn't want him to retire just yet. I was a patient of Dr. Barth since before my daughter was born; she's almost 38 now. I was so comfortable with him over the years that, even though I've moved out of state, I called the office Tuesday to schedule an appointment. To my shock, I was given the sad news.

I believe the last time I saw Dr. Barth was not as a patient at all, but rather as a fellow plant lover. It was at I & G Farms, in Jackson. I called out to him and, when I motioned to the huge number of beautiful flowers in his cart, he said something along the lines of "My wife and I are a good match: I plant them, and she picks them!"

I like to think that now God has a new flower in his garden. He only picks the best! My condolences to the family.
