Madelyn "Maddy" Stanton

Perth Amboy - Madelyn "Maddy" Stanton, 54 of Perth Amboy, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick with her loving family by her side.

Maddy was a lifelong resident of Perth Amboy. She is an alumnus of Woodbridge Vocational Technical School, Class of 1981. She was employed by Reformed Church Home, Old Bridge for 18 years as a Cook Supervisor. Maddy was as standout high school basketball player and the first female to score 1000 points; an achievement she accomplished in just 2 years. Maddy was a huge sports fan, especially for her New York Yankees, Knicks, and Giants. Maddy had a passion for cooking and took pride in feeding others. Known for her positivity and big smile, Maddy was a loving, caring person who would converse with anyone and leave a lasting impression; a second mother to many. She will be missed more than words can describe.

Maddy is preceded in death by her mother Ada Martha (nee Cordero) and husband Felix V. Delgado, and her father Modesto Ramirez.

Maddy is survived by her devoted sons, Jamaal Stanton and wife Jessica Stanton and Carlton J. Stanton III; dear siblings Annette Ramirez Girau, Marivel Ramirez, Steven Ramirez, Eileen Ortiz, and Miriam Ramirez; adored "Nana" of Chloe and Austin Stanton; beloved fiancé Daniel Walters; cherished aunt and "Nina" of many nieces and nephews and loving cousins.

Visitation will take place at Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy, on Tuesday April 17, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church, on Wednesday, April 18 at 10 am. Interment will be private.
