Lavallette

Margaret Quatse (nee Coraggio) entered into eternal glory on Friday, March 18, 2011 in Toms River, NJ. Born in Glen Ridge and raised in Bloomfield, NJ where she graduated from Bloomfield High school with a hair dresser's certification, Mrs. Quatse worked with her husband, Joseph, at Joseph Hair Salon in Newark, then Josef's Coiffures in Upper Montclair, while raising their five children in Cedar Grove (Essex County). She sang in the choir at St. Catherine of Siena Church, was active in several clubs and president of the Cedar Grove Women's Club several years running. In retirement, she moved to Lavallette where she was a daily communicant at St. Bonaventure's Church, and active in the Rosary Altar Society, Catholic Daughters, as well as the Lavallette Seniors.

Mrs. Quatse was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Michael Quatse. She is survived by her sister, Violet Sestilio of Toms River; her brother, Benjamin and sister in law, Dorothy Coraggio of Palm City, FL; her children, Ronald and Judy Quatse of Morganville, Pamela Quatse of Toms River, Patricia and Joseph Petruzzelli of Dania Beach, FL, Celia Quatse of Bridgewater, NJ, Susan and Alan Schneider of Anaheim, CA; grandchildren, Gina and William Gesner, Denise and Edward John Pischel, and Joseph Santo and Dale Quatse, all of Howell, Shelby Lynn Schneider of Anaheim, CA and seven great grandchildren, all residing in Howell.

Friends and relatives may pay their respects Wednesday, March 23, 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 995 Fischer Blvd., Toms River, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, March 24, 9:30am at St. Justin the Martyr Church, 975 Fischer Blvd, Toms River, NJ followed by burial at New Jersey Veterans Cemetery, in Arneytown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in her name to the Alzheimer Foundation of America. Condolences may be sent by visiting www.ryanfuneral home.com

Mrs. Quatse was such a pleasant, sweet, dear & thoughtful woman who always had something warm and nice to say- always positive and smiling! I have so many amazing memories of her and Joe and my grandparents and all of us together on Joseph St! She has a very special place in my heart and she will be missed... So sorry for your loss. I will always have such fond memories of Peggy and Joe. Joe was the Mr. Fix it, with my dad, and Peggy was sewing or cooking up something in the kitchen. Joseph Street is not the same without them. The Capriglione family.
