MARIE M. HUDSON
AGE: 79
OCEAN TOWNSHIP
Marie M. Hudson, of Ocean Township, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Care One in Wall, surrounded by her loving family. She was 79. Marie was born in New York City and lived there most of her life before moving to Ocean Township last year. A homemaker, Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She was devoted to her family, was an avid reader and loved being down by the ocean. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Marie was predeceased by her beloved husband of 56 years, Francis (Buddy), in 2007; her parents, Cornelius and Mary Tone Hogan; her brother, Neil Hogan; and daughter-in-law, Lori Hudson. She is survived by her sister, Frances Rogan; seven children, Buddy Hudson and fiancée, Denise Kresse, grandchildren, Kira Hudson and her fiancé, Bryan Poythress, Michael Hudson and great-granddaughter, Elyse Hudson; Doreen Flanagan and husband Dennis, grandchildren, Lauren Flanagan and her fiancée, Martin Kelly, Matthew Flanagan and his wife Lisa, and Dennis Flanagan; Kevin Hudson and wife Deborah; grandchildren, Steven Hudson and Shannon Hudson; Edward Hudson; Robert Hudson and his wife Terri; grandchildren, Rian Hudson and wife Rebecca, Timothy Hudson and Jeffrey Hudson; Kathryn Hudson, Stephen Hudson and grandson, Connor Hudson.
Visiting will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 11 at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Ocean Township. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday, March 12 at St. Jerome's Church, West Long Branch. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association. Condolences may be emailed to [email protected] and will be received by the family.

My deepest condolences are with you in your time of grief. May you continue to find comfort in the memories that you all shared together and get comfort from knowing one day Sickness will be no more and Death will be a thing of the past. In times of grief such as these, I find it comforting to meditate on the words found in the Holy Writings at Job 14:14, 15. Job expressed his faith that God would bring him back to life if he should fall asleep in death, "All the days of my compulsory service I shall wait, until my relief comes. You will call, and I myself shall answer you." The scriptures indicate that it is possible to reunite with your loved one in the near future, right here on earth under peaceful, righteous conditions. Psalms 37:10, 11 offers us this promise. My sincere condolences to your entire family.
