Mark Cortese Obituary
MARK R. CORTESE JR.
AGE: 31 BEACHWOOD
Mark R. Cortese Jr., age 31, of Beachwood, died Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009, at home. Born in Toms River, he lived most of his life in Beachwood. Mark enjoyed surfing, fishing and motorcycles.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Tom and Barbara Cortese. Surviving are a daughter, Sophia Cortese of Beachwood; his father, Mark R. Cortese Sr. of Toms River; his mother, Sharon (Schwinge) Cortese of Beachwood; a sister, Christine Cortese of Beachwood; his fiancé,
Jessica Pederson of
Beachwood; and his
maternal grandmother, Julia Schwinge of Boca Raton, FL. Also surviving are his two nephews, Markus and Isiah, along with many other loving relatives.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 8 from 2-4 & 7-9PM and Wednesday 10AM until the funeral service at 11AM at "The Family Owned" Carmona-Bolen Home For Funerals, 412 Main Street Toms River, NJ 08753. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family will be greatly appreciated. Condolences can be sent to: carmonabolenfh.com.

Mark Cortese is a name that when people hear it say what a great son, a father, a friend, an uncle, a nephew, and a grandson, but most important to me A BIG BROTHER! MY PROTECTOR! We are all so saddened by the loss of such a wonderful person. Mark has been one of my dearest friends since the time we were young kids skate boarding on the side of my house.
