AGE: 71 • West Long Branch
Martin Sheer, 71, of West Long Branch passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, with his family by his side. He was born in the city of New York. Marty moved his family to West Long Branch in 1976. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. Marty worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 40 years, helping others through the manufacturing of medicine. He had a passion for his family, pets, golf, fishing, boating, and was an avid reader. Marty will always be remembered with a smile.
Marty is survived by his wife of 48 years, Susan Sheer; two daughters, Lynn Dietrich and her husband, James, of Ocean, and Nicole Knop and her husband, Carl, of Ocean; and four grandchildren, Alexis and Madison Dietrich, and Kayla and Alyssa Knop.
The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM at the Temple Beth El Cemetery in Neptune, NJ. For those who desire, memorial contributions in Marty's name may be made to the Monmouth County SPCA (www.monmouthcountyspca.org) or The American Diabetes Association (http://www.diabetes.org).
