Matthew James Beaudoin, 56, of Brick passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune with his beloved family at his bedside.

Matt was born in Neptune and had resided in Belmar for many years and then in Red Bank before moving to Brick 12 years ago.

He was a graduate of the St. Rose Schools in Belmar and then went on to Syracuse University for his undergraduate studies before attending Montclair University to pursue his Master's degree in Anthropology.

He was the owner and operator of Belmar Blind and Drapery Cleaning for many years. Prior to starting his own business, he worked alongside his extended Beaudoin family at the Belmar Window Shop.

He was predeceased by his loving parents Rene Richard Beaudoin and Shirley Crosby Beaudoin.

Matthew is survived by his longtime loving companion Lori Gelay of Brick and her 2 children Andie and Joe Gelay, his 2 sisters and their spouses Renee' Kee and husband Al, and Tracy Roddy and husband Danny, all of Belmar, his 3 nephews Shea, Brendan, and Kevin, his uncle Bob Beaudoin and wife Pat, 2 aunts Joann Blazier and Ellen Mitchell and husband Scott.

Matt was a kind and loving man, who will be deeply missed by all the people that he touched throughout his life. He was truly a unique individual, who shared his laughter, humor and goodness with those fortunate enough to have known him.
