Michael DiGregorio Obituary

Michael DiGregorio

Hazlet - Michael P. DiGregorio, 57, of Hazlet, NJ, died on January 1, 2018 surrounded by his beloved family at home. He was born in Jersey City, NJ and lived in Virginia for 18 years before moving back to NJ in 2006. Michael was an exceptionally skilled carpenter. He worked for several large construction firms and upon the family's return to NJ he began his own company, Mikey D Carpentry. To Mike, family was everything and he was a wonderful step-father. He was extremely loyal and generous. He loved animals and he enjoyed fishing, horseshoes, darts, and softball and he was an avid Giants and Mets fan. Mike had a presence about him, he always drew a crowd and was quick to laugh and joke with anyone.

Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Lisa DiGregorio; his step-daughter, Jessica Weiland; his mother, Carole DiGregorio; his three sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Marc Conway, Carol Ann and William Scarangello, and Deborah and Robert Anderson; his brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Kim DiGregorio; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Salvatore DiGregorio in 1993.

A Memorial Mass will be offered Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. Mary's Chapel, 26 Leonardville Rd., Middletown. For more information, to send condolences or for directions, please visit www.pflegerfh.com.

I´m sorry to only be seeing this now. I had the privilege of working for Lisa for many years early in my career in the Air Force. My deepest condolences to Lisa and Jessica. I recall socializing at unit events and parties with Mike. He ALWAYS has a smile on his face and loved a laugh and a good joke. I´m sorry to learn of his passing. Jim Hermens, Virginia
