Michael Kessler Obituary
AGE: 60 • Spring Lake Heights
Michael J. Kessler, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2014, at the Monmouth County Care Center in Allenwood. He was 60 years old. Mike had retired from AT&T/Lucent Technologies where he worked for over 20 years as an accountant. He was member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1711 in Westfield. While his daughters attended the Westfield school system, Mike became involved with the PTO's. Later on, he proudly served on the Westfield Board of Education for several years. Mike earned a BA in accounting from Montclair State Univ. and a MBA from Rutgers University. He was born in Newark and grew up in Kearny. Then lived in Westfield before moving to Spring Lake Heights 10 years ago.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Virginia "Ginny" Buckley Kessler; 2 daughters, Melissa Kessler and Christine Kessler, both of Westfield and his brother John R. "Jack" Kessler of Englewood, FL.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 21 at the Reilly-Bonner Funeral Home, 801 D St., Belmar. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 22 at Saint Catherine R.C. Church in Spring Lake. Entombment will be at Resurrection Mausoleum, Saint Catharine Cemetery, Wall Twp. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be sent to the Joan Dancy and PALS "People with ALS" Foundation, c/o Riverview Medical Center, PO Box 8157, Red Bank, NJ 07701, would be greatly appreciated.

So sorry about Mike. He was a great guy and we were very sad to hear about his passing. Our thought and prayers are with all of you. We really did want to be able to come up there for you all. So sorry that we couldn't.
