Hi Michael!
I just came across a vintage Lennon poster. Made me sad at first but then I thought - you must know him now!
I tell my kids all the silly games we would play together like one day you suggested we speak exclusively in clichés. Another time we spoke very intensely all day. You were/are so much fun! There´s no one like you.
I think of you so often. I miss and love you so much.

Dear Manning family,
Mike was my buddy from St. Mary's and then Middletown North. He was always a good friend. I think of him often and he is on my daily prayer list.
God bless you and your family.

Love you, - Kerry

I have a son who shares Mikes birthday.
Apparently it's a popular day to be born!
It's a pretty cool thing because during our dinner tonight Mike's name came up and we had a moment. I, of course, raised my glass and we all toasted Mike. Soda, chocolate milk & beer. I don't see that stopping anytime soon. We won't forget.
Just wanted to let the Manning Family know that.
Lenny
Happy Birthday Mike!

To the Manning family,
I know this past year has brought you unthinkable grief. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
To Michael,
I think of you every single day, just like I had the last 20 years, only now I can talk to you and you hear me, like you told me in that dream. I have never stopped loving you and never will. You are loved and missed by so many. May you rest in peace in Gods loving arms.
I love you,

Mike - 1 year and the pain is not less. I love you, talk to you, miss you, and remember you....I know you're with me.
Have Peace My Brother, they're are a whole lot of people who look forward to catching up with you strumming the guitar, singing songs we all know, and having fun. I only wish we could have done more of that here........
I hope I live a long life but can't wait to see you again,

Mike, We talk about you all the time like your still with us then we realize and put our heads down in sadness. I can't tell you how many times memories Poped up and songs I heard that reminded me of you bringing tears like right now. Everyone shared pics of you which brought back so many precious memories when we were young , I can still hear your voice in my mind like it was yesterday. You were one of the only ones that called me Richie. My mom was too sad to come see you when she heard, she loved you so much. I never forget how you and her used to chat together when she came home from work and we were hanging out . God did we all have such a blast together. I wish you were still here so bad, just to spend one more of those magical days together. You were one of a kind.
See you on the other side one day brother. We will all be together again, one day we will be in the presence of your greatness. We will think of you and tell the stories till our end. Love you Mike .
Full of tears brother
Rich.

To the Manning family,
I knew Michael 20 years ago. I'll never forget our first date when we realized we had the same birthday. I remember staying up all night listening to him playing guitar and singing with him, hanging out at his shop talking and laughing at his jokes while he created his masterpieces. I've never been able to look at a clawfoot piece of furniture without thinking of him.
We were engaged 20 years ago but never made it to the alter. But I loved him with all my heart and have never forgotten him. I tried looking him up many times over the years but to no avail. I had a dream about him this morning. In it he said, "Now you can talk to me whenever you want to." Because of the dream I tried again to look him up online and found his obituary. I cant help believing it was him. I cannot tell you how sorry I am. He was gifted with both talent and charisma and well, just so cool.
Your family is in my prayers.

On behalf of the Manning Family, we would like to thank everyone for their kind words, thoughts and prayers over the past few days. Although we are devastated, we are a very strong family. Yet, we find comfort from your presence and condolences.
We would particularly like to recognize Mike Circelli
whose dedication to Michael's well being cannot be overstated. Our family is eternally grateful for your consistent support.
We would like everyone to close their eyes- and tilt an ear toward the sky- listen. We can hear an argument about who is the best carpenter in heaven. Michael is loud, and is even getting louder. His irreverence aside- Michael is religious with a deep faith and knows Jesus has his back- literally.
We all know Michael had many talents- he could easily engage everyone at the party, hear a song and play it on his guitar, and look at a recipe (disregard most of the instruction) and whip up a great dish. Yet, Michael's true passion was carpentry and woodwork. We knew this at an early age when he played for hours with Lincoln Logs (you did not want to knock over that cabin, big fight.)
Michael's nephews benefitted from his talent as he generously made “The Whiz Kid” and “Keep on Truckin” foot stools for potty training. His talent expanded beyond a simple footstool. He built many rooms and additions that house a lot of families and friends. All right, it may have taken a bit longer but it was always done with love and care. We all have our special memories of Michael, but I will always remember him saying to me, “Hey Jeanie Sister Love” whenever we spoke.
Irish Mike- as he famously called himself and many here know him as- but we, his family, always called him Michael.
Today, he should have the last say- with a twist. So Irish Mike for now is I WISH MIKE
I wish Mike was still here- he was taken much too soon and so young.
I wish Mike a goodnight's sleep and eternal peace. He deserves it.
I wish and I know Mike will never be forgotten. So when you see that single sail on the horizon, or hear an Eric Clapton riff and a John Lennon lyric, or see a finely made piece of furniture with an inlay just so-
Think of Irish Mike or Michael.
I know I will.

To the Manning Family,
I am in shock over this loss. Mike was my buddy at St. Mary's right through Middletown North. I can only picrue him as a calm cool smiling character. I have spent one whole day praying for him. I know the Lord has him and is with him. He is a gentle soul. I can't stop thinking of him. I know he is ok though. I trust in the Lord. Sincerely Kathy Ronayne Kane

Dear Mannings,
I am so sorry for your loss and will keep Mike and all of you in my prayers. You would be surprised at how often I've thought of Mike over the years...silly memories of passing notes to each other in the hallway or meeting for pizza at 'Mr. Pizza', watching him play handball on the playground. Funny how your first crush never is forgotten. He was 'the cutest and the coolest' in my book. And when I'd run into him occasionally when I was back home from college he greeted me like family. I am so sorry.
Much love,

To the Manning Family,
The hurt continues for us all but your pain is unimaginable. When your heart breaks and tears roll it opens your heart for Mikes spirit to come in. The more you let him in the better you will feel and eventually the tears become smiles as we know he is with us closer now than ever; in our hearts. I don't think any of us will get to smile yet cause there is so much of him to let in. Rest assure we are here feeling it with you and your not alone. I do not think anyone will ever understand the closeness one can get like a mother and child coming from her womb; until this time when we let him back into our heart to be with us through eternity. Rest assure he is with us and when you feel him around don't fight the heart Break and tears just open your heart and let him in to fill the emptiness he Eventually will.
Huge hugs to Mom , Dad brothers and sisters .
Tears.

It all just takes my breath away, my heart just sinks . Now His spirit is free just like he always was a free spirit sailing the seas and the way I will always remember him, a happy free spirit bringing us joy with his guitar music and making our magical moments in life more magical. Thanks Mike for all the good times . I can still hear your voice and laughter. I'm sorry you had to leave us so soon and sorry I moved far away and couldn't be there with you. I never forget visiting you at your Charleston apartment when you lived there. We had the time of our lives. Like Bob said we still feel like it were just yesterday and it kills us thinking your gone now never to bond with the pack again and to talk about old days and new ones to come. Mike it is hard to believe your on the other side now. One day we all will join you and we will catch up on our stories ,Listen to your guitar and just to hear your voice one more time would be all I would need. Your soul is blessed and your spirit I hear in all the songs you use to sing. We all love you and our hearts will ache every time something brings back memories of you. God Bless you and your family we all send prayers full of your colorful memories. Tears fall our hearts breaking only to let your spirit in and for us to carry a part of you till we join you on the other side. We all love you Mike. Love the Plungis family .

To the Manning family,
My sincerest condolences for the loss of your son, brother, and uncle.
Michael was a great friend of mine whom I have nothing but fond & happy memories of. He was quick with a joke and quicker to help out should he be asked. That is the type of person he was, memorable.
My thoughts and prayers go out to you in this time of loss. Rest in peace Michael.

We got to know Irish Mike as he was working on our house in Brielle over the past year. Besides his phenomenal workmanship, Mike's cheerful attitude and singing made him a favorite around the work site. He even left his mark "26 + 6 = 1" on our house. To Irish Mikes's family and friends who will miss him so much. I am so grateful for knowing him and so wish for more of those times. I can't express the sadness I am feeling and the incredible hole in my heart since hearing of Mike's passing. He was a wonderful friend and truly an inspiration in all things that meant something. Mike was kind enough to open his home to me when I was going through a very difficult time many years ago. He gave up his room for me, played guitar to me, listened to me cry and just knowing he was there and cared meant the world to me. We sang, we cooked and we laughed (and we laughed alot) and I found a friend forever. He will be terribly missed and he was incredibly loved. That love won't stop in his passing. He was a wonderful man and I am a better person for having known him. My most sincere condolences to the Manning family.

Ruth & Larry,
Jeannie, Brian, Larry, Sean & family's,
Sorry but I can't seem to figure out where to start. If I could come up with something to help make things better I'd say it in a heartbeat. If I could do something to stop your hurt I'd be doing it right now. Thing is, this is a hard time and all I can do is offer my sincerest condolences. It's the kind of loss that won't go away for a long time and I want you to know that the whole Paulin family is sharing in your grief.
I was lucky to have spent a lot of time with Mike. From St. Mary's to cub scouts, graduation, work and a whole lot of road trips thereafter. If I could remember half of the stories we had to tell I couldn't tell half of them in a month. He covered for me when the kids were born then helped me turn a dusty attic into warm rooms to raise them. My sons looked up to him and saw firsthand what it means to have a good work ethic. And the value of a good friend. Mike will be missed by us all.
I'll be raising a beer tonight for Mike and wishing him Gods speed!
I'm sure I won't be the only one.
