Just learned of the Woodrow loss. But it really is a loss for all of us and Heavens gain. Mike was a great football player in the day and founder in the 50's of the Ballynanty Irish Football club in Ireland. He later started a Football/Soccer club for the Borough of Union Beach in the early 1970's when Soccer was scoffed at and difficult for people to warm up too. It's still up and running to this day. Up Limerick Mike! We miss you dearly.

Everyone loved Michael and his family. My stage crew and I met him a few years ago at the Rod Stewart concert. Rod was 20minutes late coming on stage due to Michael and he chatting about Manchester United and kicking a soccer ball back and forth, true story RIP Michael!

We would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the Woodrow family on their loss of Edgar.

Miriam and I have fond memories of (Uncle) Edgar on his visits to Ireland. We introduced him to parts of Co. Clare he was unfamiliar with: the Cliffs of Moher, Doolin, Ballyvaughan, the Burren and gorse burning on the Clare hills over-looking Lisdoonvarna. In the evening, over a pint, he would regale the locals at “Hogan's Bar” with stories of the “fighting Irish” Notre Dame.

When we arrived in the United States, Edgar met us at JFK. He brought us to New York to participate in the Limerick section of the St. Patrick's Day parade (a requirement, apparently) then onwards to aunt Lily's, for Corned Beef and cabbage.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.

always enjoyed mike's stories. he was a charmer. so proud of his kids.as the years went on and the children got older he would point out there accomplishments. i never seen a father so happy and proud. from the 'girls' at college (villanova). to his son in law enforcement and to his youngest a priest. as i write more stories emerge from my memory banks,i will keep them for when i need a happy thought.

I was very sorry to hear the news about Mike's passing. We always had very interesting conversations mostly about problems in Village Green. He was such a character. I'm sure he's up with the angels telling his stories. Even though I moved away to FL five years ago, I often would think of Mike and other neighbors. I wish the family comfort at this time.
