Mildred Meehan Obituary
AGE: 81 • Forked River
Mildred June Meehan, (nee Neil) age 81, of Forked River passed away on Sunday August 11, 2013, at her home. She was born in Paterson and was the youngest of 12 children born to Stuart and Christina Neil. Mildred had lived in South Toms River and in 1968 moved to Lacey Township. She was a communicant of St. Pius the Tenth RC Church.
Mildred was predeceased by her husband John V. in 1991 and her son Michael in 2003. Surviving are her dear children Vincent and his wife Meghan, with whom she lived, Patricia Burke and her husband Michael, John and his wife Kathy, Kathleen Mitchell and her husband James, and Timothy, and her daughter in law Kathleen. She is also survived by her loving sister Alice Thompson, beloved grandchildren, Sarah, Jared, Megan, Jacky, David, Kelly, Cristin, Maeve, Declan, Collin, Caitlyn and Valerie and her great grandchildren, Casey, Riley, Luke, Mia, Braden, Kenley, Markus and Grant and well as many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank her care giver, Larisa Kenlock, for her compassionate and loving care.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday August 13, from 5 - 7 pm and on Wednesday August 14, from 9:30 - 10:00 am, at the Riggs Funeral Home, 130 North Main Street, Forked River, NJ 08731, A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday August 14, 2013 at 10:30 am, at St. Pius the Tenth RC Church, 300 Lacey Road, Forked River, NJ, interment shall follow at Good Luck Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate contributions to Holy Redeemer Home Care and Hospice, 1228 Rt. 37 West. Toms River, NJ 08755 in Mildred's name.
