AGE: 13 • Belmar
Mitzi Hernandez Nicolas, 13, of Belmar, NJ, passed away on Thursday June 15, 2017. She was born on June 2, 2004 to Crisostenes and Martha Nicolas- Barragan in Neptune, NJ. Mitzi and her cousin Emily were always together whether it was playing soccer, spending time at the park or trips to the beach. Mitzi played the saxophone while Emily played the clarinet. They enjoyed dressing the same, and you could always find them with a big group of friends or at home eating their moms home cooked meals. They will truly be missed by all who knew and loved them. Mitzi is survived by her loving parents Crisostenes and Martha Nicolas-Barragan, brother Alex, sisters, Laura, Baleria as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, family members and friends. Family, friends, and the community are invited to attend visitation services at St. Rose Catholic Church, 603 7th Ave., Belmar on Friday, June 23 from 10-12:30 PM with mass to follow at 1 PM. Interment will take place at their family cemetery in Mexico. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family to offset funeral and medical cost by visiting www.gofundme.com/belmar-angels. Oceanside Memorial Home, Lake Como/Belmar, is in charge of arrangements.

Mitzi, you know sometimes I still DM you on Instagram or leave a comment on your last post because someway somehow I think you'll be able to read it. I know you can't but, it's how I've been coping with your passing. I often try to contact you & think I'll get some sort of response, I know I won't but I always have that hope that one day just one day I could see you again. It just hurts, you know? It's been a long time. I won't ever forget about you, how much fun we had when we hung out or when we would talk about our favorite Korean groups/members. Rest easy up there for me, okay? I love you, kiddo.
