Moises Torres Obituary
AGE: 80 • Perth Amboy
Moises Torres, 80 of Perth Amboy, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2015. Moises was born in Coamo, Puerto Rico and came to Perth Amboy in 1960. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He received the rank of Corporal. He was employed by EcoLab, Edison, and various companies as the Shipping Clerk for over 54 years. He retired in 2000. He was an avid Mets fan and loved being outside in his garden, playing guitar and walking with his wife hand in hand.
He is preceded in death by his parents Julio and Ana Maria ( nee Reyes ) Torres; dear brother of Felipe, David and Elizabeth "Eli" Torres. He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years Maria Isabel ( nee Vazquez ); beloved father of Kevin and his friend Denice Rivera, Edward, Moises Jr. and his wife Ada and Anthony Torres and his wife Marilyn Rivera; loving brother of De Jesus and his wife Ethel Marrero, Israel and his wife Eva Torres, Ludy and her husband Mario Serrano, Sammy Torres and his wife Nilsa Reyes and Guy Weston; adored grandfather of Kevin, Christopher, Michael, Greg, Anthony Jr. & Alyssa; cherished great - grandfather of Samyiah S. Rivera and Mya M. Torres; loving of uncle of many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 11 AM at the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy. Burial will be at Alpine Cemetery. Visiting is on Wednesday from 2 ~ 4 & 6 ~ 8 pm.

Mr. Torres, it has been many years since I last saw you, but my memories of you are still very clear: a very kind MAN and a great father. Your Son, Moises Jr and I were very good friends back in the 1980s and I remember you was a big New York Mets fan. Also, I admired how strong and healthy you were! I PRAY THAT YOUR FAMILY FIND PEACE AND COMFORT SOON!
