MONICA B. BAZYDLO GALLAGHER
AGE: 88 HOWELL
Monica B. Bazydlo Gallagher, 88, of Howell, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, at Arnold Walter Nursing Home, Holmdel. She was born in New York City. Monica was a bakery worker for Hostess Bakery, Newark and over the years she had many various jobs. She was a "Rosie the Riveter" working in the ship yards during World War II. She was a former communicant of St. Catherine's Roman Catholic Church, Middletown.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard J. Gallagher, in 1984; a son, Charles A. Gallagher, in 1985; and a daughter, Helen M. Gallagher, in 1954. Surviving are her children, Barbara Wyckoff of Middletown, Catherine and Mark Weaver of Palm Coast, Fla., and Bernadette Bleka of Howell; a sister, Lillian Novela of Brick; a brother, Walter and Evelyn Bazydlo of Nebraska; five grandchildren, Stanley Wyckoff, Monica Gionet, James Welch Jr., Mark Weaver, and Timothy Weaver; and six great-grandchildren.
Visiting will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 3 at Laurel Funeral Home, 201 Laurel Ave., West Keansburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 4 at St. Catherine's R.C. Church, Middletown. Interment will be in Bayview Cemetery, Leonardo.
