Nancy Orechio Obituary
AGE: 79 • Ocean Grove
Nancy A. Orechio, 79, of Ocean Grove, passed away at her home on Sunday, April 27, 2014. Born in Long Branch, Nancy was a lifelong resident of the Jersey Shore, spending many years in the towns of Neptune and Allenhurst. She greatly enjoyed drawing, painting, and other crafts, and was especially fond of horses and the old American west.
Nancy was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Salvatore Orechio. She is survived by her sister, Carmela Joseph of Elberon, and two very close friends who were like brothers, Henry Vaccaro of South Plainfield and Pat Vaccaro of Branford, CT, as well as numerous other friends and acquaintances.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 1 in Buckley Funeral Home, 509 Second Ave., Asbury Park. A Prayer Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 2 in the funeral home, with interment following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Neptune. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Nancy may be made to the United Methodist Homes of New Jersey (3311 Route 33, Neptune, NJ).
