Peter Charles Rice

AGE: 73 • Brick

Peter Charles Rice, of Brick, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick, with his wife and two daughters by his side. Peter was born and raised in Syracuse N.Y. He met and married his high school sweetheart, Marilyn and they have two daughters, Marjorie and Linnea and six grandchildren, Christopher, Joseph, Melissa, Alexander, Brittany and Timothy Jr. After graduating from Syracuse University, he served four years in the Army, followed by 32 years working as a computer programmer/consultant. He was very involved with his church, community and music.

He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Ruth; sister and brother-in-law, Sally and Bill; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Winthrop and Esther; and older brother, Winthrop Jr.

A memorial service is being held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13 at the Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church.
