Peter Shkrutz

AGE: 84 • Whiting

Peter Shkrutz, 84, of Whiting, passed away at his home on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014. Born in Brooklyn, he was formerly of Woodhaven Queens before moving to Whiting in 1994. He worked for Harte & Company in Brooklyn for 30 years prior to becoming a supervisor for Brooklyn Union Gas for 10 years before his retirement. He served his country during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Army.

Surviving is his wife, Frances; his children, Peter M. & his wife Christine, Milltown & Eileen B. Shkrutz, Whiting and 2 grandchildren, Peter & Katya Shkrutz.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, with a funeral service at 10:45 a.m. at the Family Owned Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals, 66 Lacey Road, Whiting. Interment to follow at the NJ Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ. Condolences can be sent to: carmonabolenfh.com.
