Phyllis Arnone Obituary
AGE: 78 • Neptune City
Phyllis Arnone, age 78, of Neptune City, passed away to be with the Lord and her son, little Dom, on Thursday, September 1, 2011, at her home surrounded by her family. She was horn in Atlantic City and moved to the Jersey Shore Neptune area as a youngster. She attended St. Rose High School. Phyllis worked at Steinbach's Department Store and Perkins Pancake House in Neptune, and Franmar Beauty Parlor in Avon. She was very proud of going back to school at the age of 45 to receive her L.P.N. and R.N. nursing degrees at Brookdale Community College. She worked at Bayshore Hospital, Jersey Shore Medical Center and Monmouth Medical Center as a coronary care unit nurse. Phyllis was also an excellent cook and passed on many of her special recipes. Phyllis lost her son Dominick Arnone at his age of 13.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Dominick, Arnone. She is also survived by her two children, her son Charles (Chucky) Arnone and his wife Celestine of Point Pleasant, and her daughter Connie Atkins and her husband Dutch of Shark River Hills; as well as her grandchildren Kiel and Cassie Arnone, and Nicole and Courtney Atkins; her step-grandchildren Chris and Scott Atkins; and many nephews and nieces. Also she is survived by her sister Joan Valente and brother Ed Lee. One of her fondest memories is when she traveled to Barbados with her husband Dominick and grandchildren Nicole and Courtney Atkins. She will be sorely missed by the granddogs Teddie and Ernie and her kitty Sally.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral liturgy, which will be offered on Wednesday, September 7th at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Asbury Avenue, Asbury Park. Please gather at the church at 9:45 A.M. Interment will follow in Monmouth Memorial Park Cemetery, Route 33, Tinton Falls, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Neptune City First Aid Squad, c/o 97 W. Sylvania Ave., Neptune City, NJ 07753 in memory of Phyllis Arnone. Francioni, Taylor & Lopez in charge of arrangements.

I have thought of you many times over the years. Sorry that we had to reconnect in this way, but it would only be fitting to pass along an online

Dear Dom, Connie,& Chucky,
So sorry to learn of Phyllis' death. She was such a kind and loving person to me long ago ( which I never will forget) She & my Mom are in Heaven making the others laugh with their senses of humor, pain free now forever. Love & prayers,

Dominick, my wife and I are very sorry to hear about your loss. Although we never met Phyllis we did know her mother Frances and her sister Joan. Our thoughts and prays are will the family.
