Ralph Yamello Obituary
AGE: 85 • West Long Branch
Ralph N. Yamello, 85, of West Long Branch, died Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Mr. Yamello retired in 1980 as the Captain of the West Long Branch Police Department. Following his retirement, he worked for many years as a Sales Representative for Keith Smykal Associates of West Long Branch.
Ralph was elected to the West Long Branch Borough Council in 1983 serving until 1992 and served as the Police Commissioner of the Council. He was a member of the American Legion of West Long Branch.
Surviving is his wife, Erna Spitz Yamello; their four children, Robert and his wife Francine Yamello, Gary and his wife Melissa Yamello, Joy Yamello and Linda and her husband Joe Licata, all of West Long Branch; and four grandchildren, Amanda, Eric, Nicholas and Jessica.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 30 at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell St., Long Branch. Funeral services 1 p.m. Saturday, May 31 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport. Contributions in memory of Ralph may be made to the West Long Branch First Aid Squad, PO Box 197, West Long Branch, NJ 07764. Dear Erna and Family,
So sorry I was unable to pay my last respects to Ralph, and to be there to comfort you. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all. He will be missed by those who knew him.
