Gail Yamello Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hall Funeral Homes & Cremation Services - Waldoboro on Mar. 30, 2026.
Gail A. Yamello, 86, passed away on March 22, 2026, after a brief illness.

Born on October 6, 1939, in Augusta, Maine, Gail was the daughter of George Corbett and Arlene (Worthing) Snow. She grew up in Augusta and graduated from Cony High School with the Class of 1957. She later attended St. Mary's School of Nursing.

Throughout her life, Gail was known for her warmth, her bright spirit, and the joy she brought to those around her. She worked as an administrative assistant and later as a substitute teacher at Greater Lowell Technical School. After retirement, she spent time at the Methodist Conference Home.

More than anything, Gail will be remembered for the love she shared with her family. Gail had a fun-loving personality, a beautiful sense of style, and a sparkle that was entirely her own. She enjoyed dancing, cooking, camping, bird watching, and making special memories with the people she loved most. She also gave back to her community through her volunteer work with the fire department and the American Legion.

Gail was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Joseph Yamello; and her son-in-law, David Burnett.

She is survived by her significant other, Robert Sewell of Cushing; her daughters, Kimberly Pease of Cushing, Kelly (Tim) Jordan of Windham, Kerrie Guite (Scott Poulin) of Augusta, Tracy (Yamello) McIntosh and husband Scott of Merrimack, New Hampshire, Christine Yamello and fiancé Bud Demmons of Chester, New Hampshire, and Gail (Yamello) Socha and husband Billy of Hudson, New Hampshire, her brother Fred Webster Snow (Cynthia), as well as 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren whom she lovingly cherished. She also leaves behind many beloved family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Hall Funeral Home of Waldoboro, 949 Main Street, Waldoboro.
