I was lucky enough to know Richie at Vermont Law School where we were classmates for three years. I have often described law school as a three year hazing experience where a group of bewildered college students are thrown together for three years of the most intense bonding experience you will ever go through.

Richie helped all of us get through with his humor, his personality and his frienship. Whether in the classrooom or on the ski slopes (yes we did get a little skiing in while in Vermont) he was always a bright light and helped us keep focused. He will be missed by his class mates

I had the privilege of knowing Richie all through law school. Rich was hilarious, brilliant, and a wonderful friend. He had a heart of gold, but also had a matching brain, and that's a rare combo.

You could count on Rich to bring warmth into the room. And common sense.

It's devastating to lose someone so early in life, but especially so when the person is someone you knew ALWAYS had your back, and for whom the word "family" was a verb, not just a noun.

It was a great honor to know Rich personally and professionally.
This was the only guy that actually cared about your best interest and was NOT afraid to go to trial with total confidence to win the case for you. Rich was unlike all the other attorneys that promise you everything in the beginning to get your business and end up making plea deals at your expense, because they're afraid to put their reputation on the line with the cops, prosecutors, and judges.

Rich De Luca was very professional, extremely courteous, highly experienced and knowledgeable, and was without a doubt the best lawyer in middlesex and somerset counties.

"the right lawyer makes all the difference"

Thank you Rich. RIP.

I am saddened to learn of Richie's passing. He always had a smile and a friendly word every time
we met. Both in how he served Green Brook and
later when I saw him in Raritan. We lost a great man much too early in life.
