AGE: 91 • Colts Neck

Richard C. Salem, 91, of Colts Neck, passed away on Sunday June 8, 2014. Richard was born in New York City and raised in Brooklyn. He has been a resident of Colts Neck for 19 years where he resided with his daughter and her family. He enjoyed fishing and going to Monmouth Park Racetrack. He was an avid Yankees fan. His pride and joy in life was his family and he was proud to have become a great grandfather. His legacy and memory will continue to live on with those who knew and loved him and he will be greatly missed.

He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years Anne Salem in 1996, his 19 year old son in 1969, Richard Salem, a sisterChristina Deannuntus, and his parents Anthony and Marion. He leaves behind a daughter Marian Lombardi and son-in-law Stephen, 2 grandchildren, Richard Lombardi, and Stephanie Terranova and her husband Matthew, and his great granddaughter Madison Terranova.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday June 11, 2014 from 4pm - 8pm at Waitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 501 Highway 79, Morganville, NJ. A funeral mass will take place on Thursday June 12, 2014 at 10:30am at St. Michael's Church, West Long Branch, followed by interment in St. Catherine Cemetery, Sea Girt. The family requests donations be made in his name to the Ronald McDonald House or St. Jude Children's Hospital. Donation envelopes are available at the funeral home.
