Rita C. Schultz, 78, of Red Bank, died peacefully at her home with her daughter Ellen by her side on Saturday May 9, 2009. Born in Red Bank she was a lifelong resident. Rita was a communicant of St Anthony of Padua Church, Red Bank. She retired as a Special Education Teacher for the Children's Center in Neptune, prior to that she was employed at High Road Upper School in Matawan from 1990 to 1992, The Harbor School in Eatontown from 1978 to 1990, Red Bank Primary School from 1971 to 1978, Ft Monmouth Finance and Accounting Dept from 1951 to 1959, and Prudential Insurance Co from 1948 to 1950.
She was predeceased by her husband, George A Schultz; her parents, Pietro and Carmella Talorico; Her brother, Paul Talorico, and sister, Sally Hamblin. She is survived by two daughters, Ellen F Schultz her sole caregiver, of Red Bank and Lynn Madden of Oceanport; two sisters, Frances Patti of Middletown, and Ann T Peluso of Red Bank, and three grandchildren.
Visitation will Be on Tuesday, May 12, from 4-7 p.m. at The Thompson Memorial Home 310 Broad St Red Bank, Funeral Service Wednesday, May 13, 10:30 a.m. at The Funeral Home, Interment to follow in Mt Olivet Cemetery, Middletown No Flowers, Memorial Donations to Touch of Grace /Associated Humane Society Exotic Bird Rescue 2960 Shafto Rd, Tinton Falls NJ 07753 or St Anthony of Padua Church 121 Bridge Ave Red Bank, NJ 07701 are preferred.
