Robert P. Boyd, 46, of Toms River, NJ died on Thursday January 12, 2017 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. He was born in Paterson, NJ and lived in Toms River, NJ. Robert worked for Freehold Twsp. as an equipment operator. He loved his Steelers and Devils and could not live without them. His family and friends meant everything to him.
Robert is predeceased by his father Robert Boyd.
Surviving is his mother Agnes Ivans of Toms River, NJ; his step father Fred Ivans of Toms River, NJ; his siblings Sean Boyd and his wife Christine of Toms River, NJ, Brian Boyd and his wife Kelly of Bloomfield, NJ, Shana Brule and her husband Chris of Maine, Brittany Ivans of Toms River, NJ, Kaitlynn Casamenti and her husband Phil of Toms River, NJ and Courtney Cilento and her husband Lou of Toms River, NJ; his nephew Sean and his nieces Amanda, Erica, Rylee and Brennan.
Family will receive friends on Sunday January 15, 2017 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 145 St. Catherine Blvd. Toms River, NJ. Committal will be private. Condolences may be sent by visiting www.ryanfuneralhome.com.

Please accept my condolences. I always liked Rob. I used to talk to him when he ran his giant loader at work. Even though we were from different unions he took care of his fellow employees and gave me good advice.
