AGE: 81 • Barnegat

Robert D. Cabansag, 81, of Barnegat passed February 7, 2017 at his home. Bob was born April 10, 1935 in Morristown, NJ to his late parents, Robert and Eleanor Cabansag. They soon moved to Newark, where Bob grew up and graduated from Southside High School, where he was class president for 4 years. He went on to be an art director with various companies, prior to opening his own art studio, Cabansag Studios in 1972.

He moved to Perth Amboy in 1962, then to East Brunswick in 1974. He retired to Barnegat in 2004, with his wife, where they enjoyed time together along with his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, playing cards and bocce ball.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 58 years, Doris A. (Moriarty); two children, Dawn and husband Thomas Lagowski, Robert (Robb) and wife Lorena Cabansag; three grandchildren, Mark Lagowski, Matthew and Sarah Cabansag.

Viewing Friday, Feb. 10 from 4 to 8 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat.

Cremation is private. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to Interfaith Health and Support Services and/or Alzheimer's Association. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
