Robert (Bob) D. Crandall

Formerly of Edison, NJ passed away at his home in Myrtle Beach, SC surrounded by family on June 30, 2017 after a long battle with prostate cancer.

He was born in Jersey City to Jennie (LoPresto) Crandall and Frank Crandall.

Bob served in the Army from 1968-1970. He received a National Defense Service Medal, sharpshooter M-14. He was a tractor-trailer driver most of his life before retiring. Bob was an avid bowler, both in New Jersey and South Carolina. Giving up bowling was one of the most difficult decisions he had to make. He had many friends he left behind.

Bob is survived by his wife Karen (Glebocki) Crandall his daughter Kelly Crandall on Long Island and his son Bobby Crandall in Edison who he loved more than anything in the world, and his sister Rose Marie Lavell. A nephew Robert Randall, and two nieces Michele (Lavell) Scilingo, and Gina (Lavell) Stauff, along with their families.

He is predeceased by his parents Frank Crandall (1985), Jennie Crandall (2004),

and his sister, Frances (Fran) Randall (2011). Bob also lost his nephew, Shawn Randall in 2016.

Services will be held Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, 11528 Hwy. 17 Bypass, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576 from 6 to 8pm.

There will be a mass at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Murrells Inlet, SC at 10 a.m.

Burial will follow at Ocean Woods Cemetery, South Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC
