AGE: 82 FORMERLY OF WALL
Robert G. Ehrmann Sr., 82, of State College, Pa., formerly of Wall, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College, Pa. Born July 12, 1926 in Irvington, he was a son of the late John P. and Barbara A. Conrad Ehrmann. On Oct. 16, 1949, he married Vivian M. Jannett, who died March 16, 1987. Bob spent his working career in sales, retail management and as an entrepreneur. He was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church, Manasquan and attended Good Shepherd Catholic Church, State College, Pa. He became a member of the Lions Club in 1949 and served as president of the Irvington Club in 1958-1959 and the Wall Township Club in 1976-1977. He joined the Elks in 1972 and was the Manasquan BPOE 2534 Elk of the Year for his dedication to the club's fund-raising and community building, and for his leadership and participation in many service activities. He joined and became an active member of the Knights of Columbus after his retirement. He was an avid sports fan, and his favorite sport was baseball. His favorite team was the New York Yankees, and it was hard to stump him on a Yankees trivia question.
He is survived by two children, Nadine M. Bidwell and her husband Kenneth of Englewood, Fla., and Robert K. Ehrmann and his wife Lois of Pennsylvania Furnace, Pa.; and four grandchildren, Rob Ehrmann and his wife Kristen Smart, Matthew Bidwell, Fallecia Ehrmann, and Scott Bidwell.
